Saturday was the annual Brooklyn Comics and Graphics Festival: Oh Joy! The best place at the con!
There were some great panels, like Lynda Barry and Charles Burns in conversation about high school awkwardness and Beefaroni and later on a discussion of How Nancy Is: Semiotics of the Gag.  Bill Griffith, Mark Newgarden, and Johnny Ryan gushed about their love of the banal/surreal Nancy.
GENIUS.
Also see Mark Newgarden and Paul Karasik's "How to Read Nancy" article.

Gluyas Williams was a new discovery for me: great slapstick artist from the 20's - 40's.
There was an embarrassment of riches I'll not go into the whole thing. Congrats Nina Carelli, selling your wares and living the dream!!
